José Fossi, CEO
José manages and oversees all client delivery services and daily business operations at iFactory. As the CEO of iFactory and a Managing Partner at RDW Group, José has doubled the size of the business, grown a second-to-none higher education portfolio with his business partner, Alen Yen, and established PubFactory as a Revolutionary Publishing Platform (read about PubFactory).
José brings over 10 years of publishing and interactive experience to strategic engagements.
Alen Yen, President/Creative Director
Over the last 15 years, Alen has served as strategist, creative director, and interface/UX innovator for dozens of schools. Some of his past and current clients include: Boston University, Bryn Mawr, Cornell, Harvard, MIT, NYU, RISD, Tufts, UPenn, and Yale. Alen holds a BFA from University of Michigan, and a MA in Education from the Rhode Island School of Design.
Tom Beyer, Director of Publishing
As Director of Publishing, Tom is responsible for leading iFactory’s efforts in the Publishing space. This has included online projects for OUP, SAGE, Cengage Learning, RR Donnelly, Greenwood, Rosen and Columbia University Press, among others. Currently, he is shepherds PubFactory, iFactory’s mixed content online publishing platform.
Scott Cipriano, Director of Product Operations
Having worked for both a Fortune 500 and an international IT startup company, Scott knows his systems. A graduate of St. Lawrence University with a degree in Math/CS and Physics, Scott is the resident IT administrator for RDW, balancing his time between the agency's three offices.
Tara Feld, Executive Producer
Tara has led engineering and design teams in the execution of client projects from concept to completion for over a decade. Tara has worked on a variety of projects spanning complex web solutions to interactive CDs, for clients such as Oxford University Press, Cengage Learning and Boston’s Museum of Science. For the past 6 years, Tara’s focus has been bringing publisher’s print content to the online world. Working with detailed reference content has been a particular passion, from implementing rich search solutions to creating customized content.
Harlan McCanne, Solutions Architect
Harlan brings an integration of business analysis, technical expertise and customer focus to client engagements at iFactory. Previously, he worked at Intuit as both a software developer and a customer advocate, a Fortune 200 company, web startups, and a firm that provided marketing consulting and printing services to the financial industry. Harlan graduated from Harvey Mudd college with a degree in Engineering and a CS concentration.
Marc Segers, Publishing Account Manager
Marc joined iFactory as the Publishing Account Manager in May of 2010. Prior to iFactory, Marc led Online Business Development for CQ Press (A Division of SAGE Publications), developing online business strategies and products that meet the demands of library, academic, school, and B2B markets. Working on behalf of iFactory clients, Marc provides publishing experience in the development process and can support projects with business modeling and strategy analysis, consultation on functional requirements, and project oversight. Prior to joining CQ Press, Marc created the World History curriculum for the online education provider Apex Learning. And Marc began his career in publishing as an editor for Holt, Rinehart and Winston developing textbooks and supplementals for the secondary social studies market.
Sean Sweeney, Interactive Sales Executive
Sean brings over 20 years of global sales, marketing and client services experience to PubFactory. Sean's current clients include De Gruyter, the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank Office of the Publisher, Earthscan and others.
